Amendment 3 to the Law Commission and Library Act
Posted by: Anaaxes - 03-12-2023, 06:54 AM - Forum: The Open Parliament - Replies (1)

This Amendment rectifies practical problems with Law Commission voting and procedure to ensure speedy and efficient operations. Further, this Amendment removes all obsolete and unnecessary provisions which made most Law Commission votes temporarily secret, as the Commission has operated in a collegial manner for nearly five years. Finally, this Amendment validates voting done on Discord prior to the passage of this Amendment which now allows the Commission to select its own voting location.

Amendment 9 to the Third Constitution
Posted by: im_a_waffle1 - 01-22-2023, 12:56 PM - Forum: The Open Parliament - No Replies

This amendment removes the civil rights/political freedoms requirements and it also removes that massive text-wall of random policies, most which are impossible to verify. I understand that this requirement has some RP stuff inside of it, as well as some gatekeeping things. But, if we're trying to keep fascist trolls out of the region, why do it with NS stats? If they really wanted to get in, they could just make some communist nation and start trolling anyways. It's easy to circumvent. If someone comes in who just wants to troll, we can just ban them and be done with it.

In regards to the numbering:
I used Amendment 9 because Anaaxes has already posted a pending Amendment 8 to the library.

tl;dr NS stats are stupid and we can effectively moderate without them

Prplia for MoDA | Oct. 2022 Ministerial Elections
Posted by: Prplia - 10-05-2022, 08:50 PM - Forum: Elections - No Replies

Hej alla!

I'm running for Minister of Domestic Affairs, so what qualifies me to run for this term?
My membership in the SLU started in July 2020, and I've been an active role-player in the regional community since.
However, My run in SLU politics started in Feb 2021, which has included positions such as:
-(June 2021 - Sept. 2021) Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs under Goncar, MoFA
-(March 2021 - June 2021) 2nd Secretary of World Assembly Affairs under Brys Questions, Delegate
-(March 2021 - Present) Ambassador [Europeia, Wintercrest, TCB, and TLA] under Goncar, MoFA
-(June 2021 - July 2021, Sept. 2022- Present) Writer for the Union Tribune under NAR(Masdobo), MoDA

The DA department's activity has been fantastic for a few months, and it would be my absolute pleasure to continue this era by adding new developments and advancing the programs that are currently running. This would include,
-Listening to the community. Clarity between the ministry and member-states comes before anything else, especially when it comes to Domestic Affairs.
-Continuing the Union Tribune's progress by opening positions for new writers, gameside, and on the regional discord.
-Putting together some more new community games (i.e., much like the ongoing flag design competition).
-Resuming Erynia's notion to keep gameside players in on announcements while encouraging new residents to join the community discord.

That being said, thank you for your time and continued support!
